1945 (Friday) – Cleaned two front rooms. Evening – Sister Smith and I went down to the Ward to a dinner, we met Sister Ereksen there. The dinner was given in three sections, they fed over 50 each time and, ours was the last time and we were supposed to be there at 8 p.m., but about 5:30 p.m. one of the electric stoves went out of commission and the meals were delayed at least an hour, so it was about 9-10 when we sat down, with workers and all day they fed over 500 people.
Sister Sinclair was in charge of the cooking. The meals were very nice, but I don’t want to get a ticket for the last table any more.
