1946 (Tuesday) – About noon, Port (Porty Lewis Gabbitas) and Della (Della Lunt) and two younger children (Judith Ann and Ted Lunt Gabbitas) came in, had lunch with me and left the children with me while I shopped and took care of other business. Della waited two hours in Cresses for Port. He came there about two o’clock, but went through the store on the north side while she was waiting on the south side. She walked home and was very tired. I hope it won’t hurt her.
