1946 (Sunday) – Attended Sunday School. Evening – Sister Smith and I went to Sacrament Meeting. Governor Maw was the speaker, he talked about those who lived in the days of the Savior, of the faith of some of them and of the many who received answers to their prayers because of their faith. What an example it is to us in these latter days.
Said there are books in the public libraries about the lives of those noted people who lived in the days of the Savior and he advised us to read about them and then study the bible and we would enjoy it much more. He gave a splendid talk.
The weather acted very bad towards church time we could scarcely hold our umbrella’s over us because of the wind. The audience wasn’t quite so large because of that.
