*1946 (Monday) – It’s been two weeks since I wrote, will try and remember as much as possible during that time. During this week most of the time was spent in house cleaning. We now have the three downstairs closet’s cleaned and the walls and woodwork in the kitchen, bathroom and pantry painted. I have washed the dishes in the cupboard. Besides cleaning all the lower shelves and drawers, Earl (Earl Sperry Lunt) painted the shelves in the upper cupboard. There’s a few jobs to be done.
*Monday evening, April 1st, I attended Daughters of The Pioneer’s meeting, always enjoy those meetings. Sister Chamberlain gives the lessons in a splendid way. The committee for the entertainment is: Sister’s Hansen, Woodbury, Steed, Bean and myself. As my name was the first on the list, I am the chairman.
