1946 (Wednesday) – Sister Bertha Butler came and we started on our district as Relief Society Teachers, she will assist me in the future. In the first apartment, Sister Brown, was the only one home. She has some beautiful canaries, they are lovely singers. She raises some of them herself. At the Alberta Apartment, we visited with Sister Green, she will soon be leaving as a Mr. Beans has purchased the apartment house. We visited them in apartment five and were received very kindly. They are not members of the Church, although she is reading some of our literature. She seems very interested in getting her genealogy and I was able to give her some thoughts on how to start her research. Then we discussed the topic and she was very interested in it. She promised to go to Relief Society the following Tuesday.
We next visited Sister Spitzbardt, Sister Venezuela, Eliza B. Smith and Sister Bailey.
In the evening we visited some of the homes of those not at home in morning. Everyone welcomed us so gladly that we felt we had had a very inspiring day.
