1946 (Sunday) – It is Mother’s Day today. Eva (Eva Ruth Lunt) sent me two pairs of bloomers; Della (Della Lunt) gave me a very pretty container for flowers; Lillian (Lillian Lunt) sent me a photograph album and Alfred (Alfred Oscar Lunt, Jr.) and Mary (Mary Etta George) sent me a lovely rug to match my bedspread. Georgetta (Georgetta Marie Lunt) sent me a nice handkerchief and each sent me lovely Mother’s Day cards with one from Jean Lunt (Patricia Jean Lunt).
Earl (Earl Sperry Lunt) and I went out to Archer Ward for Sunday School. That is Port (Porty Lewis Gabbitas) and Della’s ward. Brother and Sister McKay (David Oman McKay and Emma Ray Riggs) were the speakers. Afterwards, we went up and shook hands with them. The Sunday School gave each mother a red rose bud.
In the afternoon, Della’s family came in for a short visit. Evening – I attended Sacrament Meeting.
