Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Rowley, who died Friday at an Idaho Falls hospital were held Monday at the Third Ward LDS Church with Bishop Thales Leavitt presiding,
Services were as follows: Prayer at home, Roy Stoddard; prelude and postlude music, LaJune Skoy; invocation, Arthur Parker; speakers, Waid Young, L.N. Nalder and Bishop Leavitt; benediction, Joseph Wheeler.
LaJean Nicholson gave the obituary.
Musical numbers were: “That Wonderful Mother of Mine”, Goshen Ward Singing Mothers and Duets, “In the Garden” and “Oh My Father”, Roderick and Louise Millar.
Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery with Pres. F.H. Davis dedicating the grave. Nalder’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were: LaNare Gillette, Rudale Steffler, Kay Rowley, Cleo Gardner, LaMar Day and William Bryant.
Flowers were under the direction of the Third Ward Relief Society and the family.
Mrs. Rowley was born, February 16, 1884, in Brighton, the daughter of R. Elizabeth Ann Barnes and George Crump Jones. The family moved to Shelley when she was two years old and she had lived in this area since.
She was a member of the LDS Church and was married to Royal James Rowley, December 13, 1903 in Blackfoot. Besides her husband, she is survived by five sons and five daughters:
Jess Rowley, Roseburg, Oregon; Mrs. Joseph (Mae) Wheeler, Clearfield, Utah; Nickolas Rowley, Lakewood, California; Thomas Rowley, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Roy (Jane) Stoddard, Shelley; Mrs. Edwin (Nellie) Walker, Gilroy, California; Curtis Rowley, Compton, California; Mrs. Ellie (Edna) Gillette, Burley, Idaho; Mrs. Frederick (Lois) Steffler, Idaho Falls; Jay Rowley, Shelley.
She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Jack Jones, Shelley and Nephi Jones, Salt Lake City; and one sister Betty Thorndykeson, Los Angeles, California,
