Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1946 (Monday) – Did my bit of washing (quite a bit), then Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) took me up town, as far as Deseret Federal Bank. I went to the Salt Lake Knitting store and was able to get one pair of garments for Dorothy (Dorothy Snader) and two for Carl (Carl Hatch Hunter). While crossing the street to go to the Library, the thought came ‘why not check Z.C. to see if they have any sheets’. I wanted to get two sets for Dorothy, and I found myself in line at a sale on sheets. I was very thankful I went in as I might not have been able to get them later.

I then went to the Library and worked for an hour or two. I was able to find two new ancestors on the Porter line. Still house cleaning.
