1946 (Thursday) – Made some strawberry jam. I wanted to get some sugar, but when I looked for my stamps, I couldn’t find them, although I should have five. It certainly upset me. I must have put them somewhere to be safe and I can’t remember anything about it. I searched for over an hour and a half, but found no trace of them. It almost made me sick. I bought some white syrup and used that to help out.
Received a birthday gift from George (George Thornton Holman) and Eva (Eva Ruth Lunt), a box of candy also came for Father (Alfred Oscar Lunt). Eva expected to be here by now as they started out last Saturday, but had tire trouble, so returned home. Will come later if they can get some new tires.
Wrote to Eva, Alfred (Alfred Oscar Lunt, Jr.), Lillian (Lillian Lunt) and Mrs. Chloe H. Lunt (Chloe Haws).
