1946 (Friday) – I had to go to town to the bank. Thought I would search a while at the Library, but forgot to bring my briefcase with me, so after taking care of my business, I decided to go to a show. It was a two features and that made it about five o’clock when I got home. I found Alfred (Alfred Oscar Lunt, Jr.) and Mary (Mary Etta George) here. Earl (Earl Sperry Lunt) had gone to Bert’s (Charles Gilbert Lunt) for the weekend. I wasn’t expecting the folks until the next Friday, so it was a happy surprise. They were feeling fine, only a little tired after their long trip. After dinner Alfred Took Mary and I out window shopping.
