Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1946 (Friday) – Alfred (Alfred Oscar Lunt, Jr.) and Mary (Mary Etta George) came back from their trip. They caught a lot of fish and enjoyed their trip. Evening – They took me to see the show “Smoky” at the Capitol.

While coming home, I remembered I should have gone to the Library this evening. I thought of it in the morning and have been thinking og it for days, but in the work of getting dinner over and talking to the “kids”, it completely slipped my mind. I’m so sorry. The work we used to have to do in research, putting our whole mind on one particular order, with the exclusion of everything else and then later taking up another and pushing from our minds what we had been doing, has sorta ruined my memory, so that unless I watch carefully, I’m likely to forget many things I want to remember.
