Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1946 (Saturday) – Bert (Charles Gilbert Lunt) and Agnes (Agnes Coalter Golightly) came down for a few hours. We went to town then came home and had lunch. Afterwards, Bert dug up my lily bulbs and my iris, dividing them and replanting a lit of them. He took some home with him. In the evening our neighbor, Harry B. Smith, passed out and they had to call for the squad from the fire department to help revive him. Poor Sister Smith was so shocked she was almost in a daze. Frank’s wife came and spent the night with her. I remained with her until after ten o’clock. Mr. Smith went to sleep and spent a pretty good night.
