1946 (Tuesday) – Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) took me out to Della’s (Della Lunt) where I spent the day. Those busy little active kiddies certainly can cause a lot of friction and noise, and Teddy (Ted Lunt Gabbitas) is as noisy as anyone he wants your full attention and then proceeds to entertain. Ivy Joan (Ivy Joan Gabbitas) was working on a block for a quilt for the Primary, Chip (Gordon Lewis Gabbitas) is quick and active and can do a fine work to help out with the mink in his daddy’s (Porty Lewis Gabbitas) absence at work, Larry (Larry Lunt Gabbitas) is the dreamer boy and it’s quite a task to keep him at his tasks, but he surely loves flowers etc. Judy (Judith Ann Gabbitas) can be quite a helper to her mother when she feels in the mood.
When we got there Teddy had a ladybug crawling on his hand and he would turn his hand around as the bug crawled to watch it move. He is a great old boy, so independent, wanting to do everything for himself.
After dinner, I walked down to Esther’s (Emily Esther Sperry) as Karl (Karl Farnsworth) had brought some vegetables home and she let me have half of them, they were surely lovely.
