1946 (Wednesday) – I rode the streetcar to Third South, then went to Payless Drug and bought a toaster. I walked up to State Street thinking I could catch a streetcar to go to South Temple. But they don’t run the way they used to, so I waited and waited until finally found one on which I could ride for a block. I walked the rest of the way home and was I tired. Walking is one thing I cannot do.
