1946 (Sunday) – I intended to go to Sunday School, but by ten-thirty, I felt too ill to go, so I stayed home and read the bible and slept. I attended the Genealogical Union Meeting at two o’clock. Geraldine Sessions sang two lovely numbers. She has a beautiful voice and she and her girl accompanist are going to New York to continue their musical studies. President George F. Richards was the speaker.
Evening – I attended Sacrament Meeting, I made a mistake above, it was at this meeting that Jerry sang her songs. I forget the name of the speaker, he was a missionary companion of Brother Lund. He gave a splendid talk on how to pray. Said not to pray according to some form but to worship before the Lord, pray in a new way each day. The Lord knows we are in need of some things and will bless us without a daily repetition of our needs, give thanks of our freedom, etc.
