1946 (Friday) – Della (Della Lunt) came in when her husband (Porty Lewis Gabbitas) went to work. She brought Ivy Joan (Ivy Joan Gabbitas), Judy (Judith Ann Gabbitas) and Teddy (Ted Lunt Gabbitas). I took care of Teddy and Judy while Della and Ivy went for a permanent, having no appointment, it took them most of the day. Port came for them about 4:30 and they weren’t there. They also had some shopping to do. Port took the two children home and then returned later for Della and Ivy.
In the afternoon Shed (Shedrick James Lunt), Florence (Sarah Florence McCune) and Clinton (Clinton Edward Lunt) Lunt called for a few minutes. Clinton had his two children (Spencer McCune and Marilyn Lunt) and a niece of Florence was with them. We hadn’t seen Clinton for so long he seemed strange to us as he is now getting middle aged.
