September 14, 1946 (Saturday) – Busy at home all day. In late afternoon, Uncle Edgar (John Edgar Lunt) came to see us, their daughter Ruth (Ruth Lunt) was married to John S. Toronto (John Seegmiller Toronto). He came to talk to Oscar (Alfred Oscar Lunt) about plans of selling the drug store. He talked a lot about his childhood days of the home before the last home was built, could see it so plain, the way the furniture was arranged, see again his father (Jonathan Jones Toronto) sitting near a table reading the newspaper to his mother (Clara Jane Seegmiller) as she sat by with some sewing in hand. I asked him about Grandma Pitt (Caroline Wright), said her father was “Jackie Wright” (John Wright) and he was a barber. Said he can remember grandma saying “I’m half right all the time” referring to her maiden name.
Said Grandpa Pitt (John Martin Pitt) and his mother (Elizabeth Martin) (as a girl) heard the Elders and joined the Church, but Grandmother did not join until after Priscilla came to the United States.
Jane Lunt’s husband, Herbert Scoll, came down after Edgar. I went out to the car and Aunt Jenny (Lydia Jane Kendall), Jane and her daughter (Janet Scoll) and Edgar’s oldest girl, Aiden (Aiden Lunt), were in the car.
