1946 (Wednesday) – Was home all day. Port (Porty Lewis Gabbitas) and Della (Della Lunt) called for a few minutes. Later Agnes (Agnes Coalter Golightly) came, she had been in town for the funeral for the husband of her Aunt Martha’s (Martha May Coulter) ex-husband (Brooks) (Lewis Charles Brooks). She had dinner with us and later Bert (Charles Gilbert Lunt) came for her. There was quite an exhibit of shooting stars. Bert and Agnes witnessed it and said it was beautiful. A comet passing near our earth, caused the shooting stars.
