1946 (Thursday) – Bert’s (Charles Gilbert Lunt) birthday. Last night Sister Butler was to leave on a plane for Washington D.C., so today I had to go teaching alone. We also had to try and gather funds for the Community chest. Most of the people I contacted were working and payed at their place of work. There were quite a number not at home. I went to part of the homes in the forenoon and the rest at home.
I’m rather tired this evening.
