Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1946 (Wednesday) – Left home shortly after nine o’clock for the Library, it was 2:30 before I left to come home. I was working on the New Haven Catalogue of members of the First Church of New Haven. Am real tired tonight. Evening – Phoned to Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) and she told me Della (Emma Della Sperry) was with her. She has been on a lively trip through Oregon, New York up to Niagara Falls and in a boat into Canada, into Missouri and her to Salt Lake, said she has had wonderful health all the way, but during the latter part of her journey, it became quite cold and she was really ill when she reached Esther’s. Sore throat and fever, she went right to bed.
