1946 (Thursday) – Thanksgiving Day. Earl (Earl Sperry Lunt), Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) and I went up to Bert’s (Charles Gilbert Lunt) at Clearfield for Thanksgiving Dinner. They had a lovely meal. Turkey and all its trimmings, including some lovely pudding. We just about stuffed and then to top it off, before leaving for home, Agnes (Agnes Coalter Golightly) insisted we have a piece of pumpkin pie topped with cream. It was delicious.
The two girls (Patricia Jean and Mary Elizabeth Lunt) helped Agnes just fine and then after dinner, they washed the dishes while we had a nice chat. Bert and Earl listened to the football game and Dad sat in the car and tried to sleep.
We surely enjoyed our day. On the way home, we called at Port’s (Porty Lewis Gabbitas) to see how the family (Della Lunt; Ivy Joan, Gordon Lewis, Larry Lunt, Judith Ann and Ted Lunt Gabbitas) were feeling, they were well, but Della was dreadfully tired.
