1946 (Sunday) – Today is the 22nd December 1946. We have over 36 packages under our Christmas tree. 12 of thirteen are for Della’s (Della Lunt) family and three or four for Bert’s (Charles Gilbert Lunt), the rest for Father (Alfred Oscar Lunt), Earl (Earl Sperry Lunt) and myself. Oh, there’s one for Edna (Edna Viola Nelson) and one for Aunt Lillian (Lillian May Sperry).
I have been to Sunday School. It was a Christmas program by the little tots, very good. They had a young lady representing Mary and a little real baby for the Savior, it was as good as could be.
Evening – Attended Sacrament. After Sacrament, it was turned over to a pageant. Earl prepared it and had the choir sing many songs, or parts of them. They sang lovely and the theme was carried out by the choir and by individuals representing the Angel Gabriel in His salutation to Mary and visit with Joseph, also the angel’s visit to Zacharias. Mary and Joseph and the little babe, shepherds and wisemen, it was all very lovely, Readers also helped portray the Nativity message.
