1947 (Saturday) – Still very cold. Have been home all day, except a trip down to the store. Earl (Earl Sperry Lunt) went up to the Capitol in answer to a card which was sent to him stating an opening was in sight. He will have to go up again Monday before he will know if he is eligible for the job.
