John Rowley and Sarah Wright Family Messenger

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENCY:

Dear Relatives,

Here it is February in 1960. Here a few years ago it seemed so far away and in the distant time to come, but time has flown so swiftly by that it hardly seems to have had time to have gone, but it has, and now it is history instead of holding the golden prospects to tomorrow. It is yesterdays. How well have we used it? Can we balance them in our book of life as a credit, or do we have to put them down as a loss? How well are we using that blessed gift of gifts, the very substance that life is made of, TIME! The thing that we lavish so freely on things of pastime amusements and wish away at times.

If the Auditors of Life came tonight to check our book of life, what credits could he give us? Could he say “well done, my good and faithful servant?” if we hadn’t used our talent wisely, whether it be time of other talents with which we have been blessed, which should be used to further our estate. For they that kept their  first estate was added upon, but he that kept not his first estate it was taken from him that which he had had, but he that keeps his second estate shall  be added upon forever and ever.

I think we all pretty well know the rules of the game of life. The master gave them to us when he was here on earth in the Meridian of Time and they have been further clarified and even exemplified  since his giving his life and blood as a seal and a testament of what he had taught. This has been done likewise by other prophets in this period of time as a testimony of the divinity of the massage of this generation.

It is how and how well we use this gift of life, time, that we fulfill our estate. Do we use it for ourselves, then we have our reward in this life. If we use it for others, as Christ did His, even laying down his life in the service of others that they too may have eternal life, then we too may be saving others or be Saviors on Mt. Zion. If you want to do something to be remembered for, then do those things that others will want to remember. People remember us for the good things we have done.

Sincerely,
David Wm. Rowley
