1947 (Saturday) – After calling Sister Spitbardt and talking to her, I went up to Sister Brown’s, then I went down to Esther’s (Emily Esther Sperry) to fit on a dress she is making for me.
At two o’clock I called for Sister Smith and we went to the funeral of Brother Brown (J. Frank Brown) at the mortuary. There was a large crowd present, some beautiful floral pieces, the program was very nice. When I returned home, Bert (Charles Gilbert Lunt), Agnes (Agnes Coalter Golightly) and Marybeth (Mary Elizabeth Lunt) were here and later George (George Thornton Holman) and Eva (Eva Ruth Lunt) came in. None of them stayed very long, and so it was a very busy day.
