1947 (Wednesday) – I had to go to the bank to prepare for National and State taxes. They were plenty high. In the afternoon Sister Holman (Alice Menetta Thornton) came to see us. Her little granddaughter was with her. Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) came up to fit her suit, which was much too large and Esther is changing it for her.
Evening – Edna (Edna Viola Nelson) came over for a while and we, Edna, Earl (Earl Sperry Lunt), Eva (Eva Ruth Lunt) and I played Chinese checkers.
