1947 (Tuesday) – About noon, I went to Relief Society and remained until four o’clock as they had a radio there and several stayed to listen to a broadcast where one of our Salt Lake girls was being interviewed, together with her Major, just prior to their marriage, and through that publicity, they received some lovely gifts and a free wedding trip into New Mexico, all expenses paid for a week.
