1947 (Sunday) – I remained home all day and listened to Conference over the radio. Chuck (Charles Mayhew Astle, Jr.) and Georgetta (Georgetta Marie Lunt) stayed. Also, Port (Porty Lewis Gabbitas) and Della (Della Lunt) came in with the children (Ivy Joan, Gordon Lewis, Larry Lunt, Judith Ann and Ted Lunt Gabbitas) about one o’clock. They left Teddy with me, but when they reached the Tabernacle, they found they could not get in, so returned here for Teddy and went down to Port’s sister’s (Ivy Rosella Gabbitas) place to listen over the radio.
Bert (Charles Gilbert Lunt) and Agnes (Agnes Coalter Golightly) came in with their three youngest (Mary Elizabeth, Robert Gordon and Judith Ann Lunt). Judy and Robert remained here and they, with Marybeth, went over. Through some friends, Agnes got a seat, also Marybeth, but Bert remained standing.
Port and family returned here but had to go home as he has to go to work.
Bert’s family had dinner with us, Chuck and Georgetta were invited out to dinner.
