1947 (Sunday) – I remained home from church all day today. Earl (Earl Sperry Lunt) went down to Pleasant Grove after Priesthood Meeting. Afternoon – My sister Lillian (Lillian May Sperry) came down and visited for a few hours. Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) came over for a little while and Uncle Edgar (John Edgar Lunt) came in for a short visit, he said Jennie (Lydia Jane Kendall) is having a fine time down to her daughter Jane’s (Jane Lunt) home in California. Eva (Eva Ruth Lunt) helped me quite a bit today. She made a cake and prepared some ice cream for the fridge, then wiped the lunch dishes and made a cheese sauce for dinner. Everything she can do she feels is giving her more strength and she is anxious to return home as soon as possible. Just so she is careful and not overdoing it.
