1946 (Friday) – Have worked hard today cleaning house and this evening I went up to the Library to assist in supervision, in a response to a call from the Stake Presidency to help people from various wards in our Stake. I helped one lady from the 22nd Ward whose people came from Germany.

1946 (Wednesday) – Made some apple jell. Busy at home all day. Sometimes it is so cold we have to have a fire and the next day it is like a summer’s day.

1946 (Tuesday) – Busy at home all day until time to go to Relief Society for teachers report meeting.

1946 (Monday) – Washed, worked at the Library for over three hours studying the history of Alford, Mass. and the county of Berkshire. Evening – Went to a meeting with the bishopric then retired to room 4 for a genealogical report meeting.

1946 (Sunday) – I attended Sunday School. Some of the beginnings of the Social Security (or Welfare) work was discussed in an interesting way.
