1946 (Tuesday) – Ironed most of the morning. Afternoon – Went to Relief Society. Della Provost gave the lesson. Shopped, went over to Esther’s (Emily Esther Sperry) and got my hat. It’s a funny looking little thing, but then everybody is wearing them.

1946 (Monday) – I did my bit of washing, had lunch and went up to the Library and did some typing. Did some shopping and, after reaching home, I went over to Esther’s (Emily Esther Sperry). She is making over a hat for me. Earl (Earl Sperry Lunt) started to school today.
