1946 (Wednesday) – Went to the Library for about three hours. Afterwards, shopped and home. While at the Library, Sister Alkire asked me to help her for a few minutes on the Alkire name. They are from Virginia, but the tradition is they came from Scotland to Holland and then on to Virginia about 1650.
