1946 (Wednesday) – Remained home all day. Earl (Earl Sperry Lunt) does the shopping for me. Worked for a while in the garden. The tulips we planted last fall are coming up nicely. Earl took me out to Port’s (Porty Lewis Gabbitas). All glad to see Earl.

1946 (Tuesday) – Home all morning, but went to Relief Society in the afternoon. Sister Bagley gave the lesson on missionaries and their experiences. It was very splendid. Afterwards, it was testimony bearing and I bore mine and told how grateful I was for our safe return Sunday evening.
