1896 (Monday) – About 4 a.m. I became quite sick to my stomach, by seven o’clock, feeling some better I went home. At noon, Father (Charles Henry Sperry) went up town. I spent the afternoon at Burton’s and had supper there. Later in the evening, Mrs. Burton and her sister dolled me up for the dance. Father took the following people with him to the dance: Aunt Lucy Webb (Lucy Jane Webb), Lizzie Schappee, Ada Taylor, Della Kendall (Adella Kendall), Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) and myself. At the dance, I met a Mr. Duncle. Returned to the farm with father. In the afternoon, I wrote a letter to Art (Arthur David Sperry) and Lon (Charles Alonzo Sperry).
