Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1896 (Sunday) – I didn’t go to Sunday School. In The afternoon, I went to meeting. We had a lovely meeting. President Woodruff (Wilford Woodruff) and Apostle Treasdale (George Teasdale) being there. While in meeting, I want to sit by Zina Sorenson, I had barely got seated when someone touched me on the arm. I turned and a lady said “How is my little girl doing, my little Aurilla which is under your care.” I looked at her dumbfounded and she said “Oh. Excuse me, I thought you were Miss Robinson”. Zina whispered to me, “Why she is 24 years old”. After meeting Lil Black (Lillie May Black) and I went up to Burton’s. We had supper and spent the evening there.
