Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1897 – Melvin (Henry Melvin Sperry) took me up town. I went over to Aunt Emma Hague’s (Emma Elizabeth Webb) and then down town. I went to the post office and then to the drug store. When I came out I met Monte (Whitmore) we stood there talking for a few minutes and then I went up to Burton’s. In the evening Mrs. Burton went down to Foote’s with me but Mr. Foote wasn’t there so I couldn’t take my lesson. When we reached Mrs. Burton’s home Oscar Lunt (Alfred Oscar Lunt) was there. He spent the evening with us. I slept up to Burton’s.
