1897 (Thursday) – I went down to the school house and visited the school. At noon Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) and I went down to the post office then up to Grandmother Sperry’s (Emily Louisa Miller) and then up to Burton’s for dinner. In the afternoon Melvin (Henry Melvin Sperry) came up and got me and we went down home.
