1897 (Sunday) – Mr. Burton (Enoch Burton) and Oscar (Alfred Oscar Lunt) called at the farm to get Lon’s (Charles Alonzo Sperry) mail they were going up to the mine to see him. Ada Salisbury and Annie Perkins came down to our house they stayed a short time and then left. I walked up town and went to afternoon meeting. Brother Messer was the speaker and we enjoyed his talk very much. Esther (Emily Esther Sperry), Della (Emma Della Sperry) and I went for a walk then up to Burton’s. We went to evening meeting. Oscar took me home.
