1897 (Wednesday) – I went up town with Melvin (Henry Melvin Sperry). I went up to Burton’s and Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) and I started down town. We met Fred Moore and talked to him for a few minutes. We went down to Morgan’s but as she wasn’t there we went over to Mrs. Wheeler’s and got me a hat shape. We came back up to Grandmother’s (Emily Louisa Miller) and I went up to Burton’s. In the evening I went down to Foote’s for a shorthand lesson. As I was passing the Presbyterian Church I met Oscar (Alfred Oscar Lunt) and he walked up home (to Burton’s) with me.
