1897 (Monday) – I went over to Aunt Emma Hague’s (Emma Elizabeth Webb) and took my music lesson. I stayed and did the washing for them. In the afternoon I went down to the court house and took a shorthand lesson. As I was going back I called at Miss Morgan’s (Mary Morgan) shop and talked with her for quite a while. I called in Mrs. Tingey’s to see Zoa Christensen then I went up to Burton’s. About sundown Tommy Smith (Thomas Smith) came there and as he was going out to Mr. Salisbury’s I rode out with him.
