1904 (Thursday) – I called for Eloise Sorenson to go with her to Relief Society, had to wait until she got ready. I felt quite embarrassed going in so late. We had a lovely meeting. They were speaking of the great movement now started by buying land in Jackson County, Missouri. They also talked about the trials coming upon this people and wondered if we would be able to stand the trials as well as the pioneers did. They said we have got to be more united and forget self in doing for others.
