1904 (Thursday) – The Relief Society celebrated their thirty-seventh anniversary by both wards meeting together in the Tabernacle and having a program. It was a very stormy day. Bishop Parke’s, in speaking to the sisters, said: “When all the women organizations of the world were petitioning the President and the Senate against us and were trying to persecute us, for us not to fear for the Lord would be with us and we should come out triumphant in the end and how much greater then would be our glory.” Retta (Retta Sperry) slept with me.
