1905 (Monday) – Oscar (Alfred Oscar Lunt) took us up town on the wagon and then Alfred (Alfred Oscar Lunt, Jr.) went with him for a load of hay. Thomas Schofield’s (Thomas Jackson Schofield) body was brought down to Nephi on the train. In the afternoon I went up to see him and had a talk with Aunt Lucy (Lucy Jane Webb), his widow. In the evening Grandpa and Grandma Lunt (Alfred Lunt and Priscilla Pitt) had a surprise on Edgar (John Edgar Lunt) and Jennie (Lydia Jane Kendall), and they were certainly surprised. All seemed to enjoy themselves and Great-Grandpa Lunt (Edward Lunt) as much as anyone. We stayed up town all night and didn’t go home until the next afternoon. I attended the services held in the Relief Society Hall For Uncle Tom.
