1905 (Friday) – Oscar (Alfred Oscar Lunt) took the children (Alfred Oscar, Jr., Lillian and Charles Gilbert Lunt) and I up to his Mother’s (Priscilla Pitt) and he took Alfred back with him and I took Lillian and Bert to Relieve Conference, both in the fore and afternoon. There were some fine instructions given on the training of children, Brother Ord said we should keep our boys off the streets at night when they are 12, 14 and 16 years old, said there are men who teach our boys to become liars, as well as telling them all manner of filthy stuff, which they never should hear. I haven’t been up town since then.
