Donald Eugene Smith, Jr. was born in Long Beach, Los Angeles, California, United States to Donald Eugene Smith, age 19, and Grace Harriet Rowley, age 18. He was the 1st of 5 children, and the 1st of 2 sons, born to the couple. Tragically, due to the Dr. being drunk Donald Eugene, Jr. was able to catch a breath before birth and only lived 17 hours
