1906 (Sunday) – I was able to get up in the forenoon. My head was much better and I didn’t chill so much, but my poor throat was surely sore, I could scarcely speak a word. Lillian (Lillian May Sperry) went home and took my Lillian (Lillian Lunt) with her. Retta (Retta Sperry) went back to Provo to school, Della (Emma Della Sperry) was ill so is going to wait another week. In the afternoon Ruth (Ruth Sperry) came up and brought my Lillian with her. Clara (Clara Golden) left for a little while and brought Mattie Howarth home with her and they stayed here until Abner Tanner came to escort them to meeting. Afterwards, Father (Charles Henry Sperry) and Mother (Caroline Webb) came up to see how I was. They stayed until Clara came home. She brought some young folks with her and they stayed until my husband (Alfred Oscar Lunt) came home. Clara slept to her home. In the evening Sister McCune and Grandma Lunt (Priscilla Pitt) called in to see how I was and later Brother’s Harry McCune and Samuel Linton came and administered to me. Promising me if I had faith I should speedily recover.
