1906 (Sunday) – I have been to conference in the afternoon. Apostle Lyman (Francis Marion Lyman) told us we should try and so all the good we can in this life for it is so short compared to eternity, that it’s just like a line drawn across a piece of paper and if we only realized the blessing we will receive the cares and troubles of this world would seem as nothing.
Pearl (Eva Pearl Sperry) stayed with the children (Alfred Oscar, Jr., Lillian, Charles Gilbert and Eva Ruth Lunt). Brother Lyman also said it is our duty to go to meeting and only the gravest kind of excuse will excuse us from going and that we should be glad and willing to do all we can, and help all we can in this great and marvelous work.
