1909 (Sunday) – Again it has been another five weeks since I wrote in my journal. How time does fly. The motor works fine. I have been washing today. My husband (Alfred Oscar Lunt) was home on the last of April, but left again the 1st of May.
On the first of May was David Cazier’s (David Crockett Cazier) 75th birthday. Sister Cazier (Mary Ann Parkes) gave a party in honor of his birthday. I was honored with an invitation. We had a lovely supper and the evening was spent in speeches and songs. Brother Cazier gave a short sketch of his life and Grandpa Sperry (Charles Sperry) gave one of his life. All seemed to enjoy themselves very much.
