Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1945 (Monday) – Went to the library and searched on the Eby line. Only stayed there about two hours. It’s been quite stormy today, although it stopped by evening. Received a letter from Donald, and he was almost well again.

Before Jean (Jean Snader) left for her school, the Bishop visited her and advised her to be baptized before leaving for her nurse’s school. She was baptized Friday 23 March 1945.

Evening – I attended a meeting of the officers and teachers. I met with the Genealogical Committee. After our return from the various committee meetings, the Elders took over. Had a group of lady singers who furnished the program, after which, refreshments of apple pie and ice cream and punch were served to the crowd.
