1945 (Sunday) – Attended teacher’s training and Sunday School. Grace (Grace Ensign) gave the lesson. Attended a meeting of stake and ward officers at two o’clock. Learned today that Sister Tronn is very ill in a hospital in California. She was remembered in prayer in Sunday School.
Evening – I attended Sacrament Meeting. Several of the hymns that were liked by President Grant (Heber Jeddy Grant) were sung by the conjugation. The speaker was Brother Curtis, a former mission president. He gave a splendid talk on the life of President Grant.
At nine o’clock, instead of the sermon by Apostle Lee (Harold Bingham Lee). Recorded talks by President Grant were given, it sounded so good to hear his voice again.
